When my sister Jeanette asked our daughter Tami, to be part of her wedding party, we had a little bit of a challenge ahead of us. We recently decided to play our part in the “green” efforts and one of the ways that our family is participating is by wearing “green” or organic clothing. Thanks to Jeanette’s tenacity to find solutions to problems, it did not take us long to come across this lovely Cinderella like ball dress.
At first, I was a little bit concerned because the dress was white. I did not want to take any spotlight away from my sister, as her wedding event was supposed to be her special day. Jeanette just laughed and said that it was her day to be able to share with those that meant the most to her and that maybe Tami would enjoy it so much that she would forever be talking about it.
The dress turned out to be the perfect dress for Tami. The halter style top made it comfortable and the embellishments of beads, sequins and pearls added that beautiful feminine and princess like touch that every little girl dreams of wearing. Tami beamed as she walked down the isle.
Months have gone by and Tami is still talking about the event and how she loved wearing that dress. We have even been able to use it for other formal occasions and the local pageant. Besides the beauty of the dress itself and the happiness my daughter felt wearing it, I can feel confident that my purchase still allowed me to practice and apply our new “green” lifestyle.
